SymbioLact® Pro Immun

The food supplement SymbioLact® Pro Immun combines two selected strains of lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus plantarum HEAL9 and Lactobacillus paracasei 8700:2) with vitamins D3, B12 and B9 (folic acid), which support your immune system*.

FIELD OF USE

To support a normal function of the immune system*

INGREDIENTS

L. plantarum HEAL9, L. paracasei 8700:2, folic acid, vitamin D3, vitamin B12

TAKING

Just 1 capsule a day

Strong intestinal flora - strong immune system

Our immune system works day and night to protect us from all sorts of infections.. Around 70 to 80 % of all immune cells that are responsible for our body's defensive reactions are located in the intestine. A healthy intestinal flora therefore is important for a strong immune system. Certain bacteria such as lactic acid bacteria can, among other things, support the defence against pathogens and down-regulate inflammatory reactions.

Two well-researched strains of lactic acid bacteria are:

  • Lactobacillus plantarum HEAL9
  • Lactobacillus paracasei 8700:2

The advantages of SymbioLact® Pro Immun

SymbioLact® Pro Immun provides 25 micrograms (μg) = 1.000 IU of vitamin D3 per capsule. The sunshine vitamin is involved in many processes in the body and is important for the immune system.*
SymbioLact® Pro Immune also contains the selected strains Lactobacillus plantarum HEAL9 and Lactobacillus paracasei 8700:2. These belong to the group of lactic acid bacteria and are freeze-dried in SymbioLact® Pro Immun. As soon as the bacteria come into contact with water, they can absorb it, become active and multiply.

Vitamin D - the sunshine vitamin

Vitamin D is a vitamin that is necessary for our organism and is required for numerous functions in our body. These include, for example:

  • regulation of our immune system
  • control of the calcium/phosphate balance

Vitamin D can be ingested in food or produced by the skin on exposure to sunlight. Since there are only a few foods that naturally contain vitamin D, the supply of vitamin D from food is very low. Most vitamin D is made by the body itself when the skin is exposed to sunlight. Especially in the dark winter months and during the period leading up to summer, it is possible that insufficient vitamin D will be produced, because there is not enough light and only small areas of the skin are exposed to it.

Further reasons for a vitamin D deficiency can be the following:

  • We increasingly spend less time outdoors in the sun
  • In the dark season, the intensity of the UV-B rays is not sufficient - this is especially true from October to March
  • Vegetarian / vegan diet

  • Increasing age: the skin becomes thinner and less able to produce vitamin D3; the metabolic capacity of the liver and kidneys decreases

  • Low-fat diet or reduced fat absorption from the intestines (due to a deficiency of enzymes in old age or in diseases such as chronic inflammatory bowel diseases, coeliac disease)

Therefore, taking vitamin D can be useful to provide additional support for our immune system. The regular intake of SymbioLact® Pro Immun can help to increase levels of vitamin D3.

* Vitamin D, folate (vitamin B9) and vitamin B12 contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system.

Vitamins can support
the immune system.

Vitamin B12

We absorb the vital vitamin B12 from foods of animal origin – which is why vegetarians and especially vegas usually have a vitamin B12 deficiency. Vegans are therefore recommended to take vitamin B12 regularly in the form of dietary supplements.

Folate

The human body itself cannot produce folate and must obtain it from food. Folate is found in various foods, such as green leafy vegetables, cabbage, legumes, whole grains and wheat germ, as well as calf liver and eggs. However, the vitamin is sensitive to light and heat. Long storage times, soaking, as well as keeping food warm for a prolonged period, significantly reduce the folate content.

SymbioLact® Pro Immun is a dietary supplement that supports your immune system.

The bacterial strains contained in SymbioLact® Pro Immun are insensitive to gastric acid and are therefore alive when they reach their destination in the intestines.

SymbioLact® Pro Immun ingredients:

  • Lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus plantarum HEAL9 and Lactobacillus paracasei 8700:2): selected bacterial cultures with 1 billion colony-forming units (CFU) per capsule
  • Vitamin D3: 1,000 iU = 25 μg per capsule
  • Vitamin B12: 0.38 μg per capsule
  • Folic acid: 30 μg per capsule

SymbioLact® Pro Immun is gluten- and lactose-free, well tolerated and can be used on a long-term basis.
